Throughout its existence, our country has tried to impress us with its technological independence, and there are countless examples of this, from decent Elbrus processors and domestic smartphones to attempts to kill foreign services. Perhaps the most popular such attempt was the YotaPhone. Ze Makkers wrote very well about it, but in short, it was too expensive and politicized, which earned it a bad reputation, even though the YotaPhone was actually a very good product. The situation with Elbrus is much the same: all sorts of computer enthusiasts simply adore them, and they try to port everything open source to them. I'd even dare say I'm not ashamed of it, but the prices for computers from MCST don't even cover my credit limit; they're just too expensive. But the situation with services is much worse – RuTube, which even received well-deserved hate from Artemy Lebedev himself for manually moderating videos before publication; Rostelecom's "Allyo," the Skype killer that operated in Voronezh for two weeks; Mail.ru's TamTam, which simply turned out to be of no use to anyone, and so on.

This time, we'll look at a form of "technological independence" from the state called "Aurora OS." It's not an iPhone killer, and Apple hasn't bothered with it; its positioning is completely different, which we'll discuss later. For now, I suggest you make some tea, grab some snacks from the shelf, and relax! =========================================
