Since 2020, Apple has been releasing its laptops based on the ARM architecture. They've done everything possible to make the transition from Intel easy: they released Rosetta 2 for running legacy apps and distributed Dev Kits to developers this summer so they could quickly adapt their apps. Everyone loved the new ARM laptops – they're more powerful than x86 and consume less battery life. However, this isn't the first attempt to bring ARM architecture to computers; the previous one was from Microsoft.
So, meet the Surface RT. A tablet that's perfect in every way, but its single flaw was its undoing. That's what we're talking about in today's video.
