Rammstein's seminal hit "Du Hast" translated into and sung in Old Norse. Does it get any more Viking Valentine's Day than that?

A note on the translation: it's intended to adhere as closely to the German word choices of the original as possible, and as such does not always reflect common Old Norse phraseology and conventional word choice. Part of my aim was to demonstrate the extent to which many of these words have changed very little across North and West Germanic, and across a period of 1,000 years. As such, "fregna" has been retained over the more common "spyrja" in the sense of "ask", which is exceedingly rare in this sense, but attested, in the participial form as it is used here; similarly, infinitives like "vera" are usually sentence final, but it is placed after "henni" here to reflect the German word order of the original "trau ihr sein".

Rammstein is a Neue Deutsche Härte hard rock group originating in Berlin, Germany. Old Norse, sometimes colloquially called the Viking language or ancient Norse language, was the language of the Norsemen.
