Update that no one asked for: I'm not in love with (new age) spirituality anymore for various reasons. I realize I missed quite a few points that I believe in so here we go. One of them is how the law of attraction states that we attract everything that happens to us, including the really bad ones, which can make us feel like it's our fault even when it's not. Also based on the idea, it can be interpreted that all the social issues that individuals experience are their fault, which obviously makes no sense. As such, LoA also promotes toxic positivity. I went into spirituality because I liked that it's really individualistic but I realize I was using it to escape my reality. Now that it's a trend, it's all about selling unrealistic ideas and materialistic things like crystals and tarot cards. It's paradoxical that an idea about being 'woke' is being used by spiritual influencers to encourage the manifestation of physical appearances, money and superficial relationships. It's also sort of seen as an aesthetic now so jeez I don't even know anymore. I guess the moral of the story is to take the law of attraction with a grain of salt. what's the fun in achieving success without any hurdles anyways?
