Prof. Eleanor Fox, New York University School of Law
It is hard to find in competition law academia a more consistent, prudent and well-articulated voice than the voice of Professor Eleanor Fox – a remarkable Thinker with an authoritative, and most elegant intellectual posture.
We recorded a detailed conversation with Prof. Fox – discussing the Past and the Present.
We discussed some of Eleanor Fox's pieces from late 1970s. It’s really remarkable and impressive how many issues which constitute the gist of fierce disagreement in antitrust literature and practice today have been addressed by Prof. Fox half a century ago. And a special type of pleasure is reading Eleanor’s footnotes – rich and informative; insightful and thought-provoking.
In this interview we tried to combine the discussion on contemporary most challenging issues with the analysis of their historical and theoretical foundations.
Hopefully friends and colleagues – but most hopefully our students – will find the ideas raised by Eleanor Fox in this conversation impactful. Feedback is welcome.

The Digital Markets Research Hub is an independent academic initiative aiming at scrutinising the functioning of competition/regulation in digital markets. We host one-to-one interviews with leading policymakers, regulators and practitioners. We also organise online mini-workshops inviting high-profile experts and academics in various fields of digital competition law & policy to discuss the most vibrant issues of the ongoing regulatory reforms in digital markets.

While having our clear normative stand on the matters discussed within the hub, we value different views and invite relevant stakeholders and thinkers representing the whole spectrum of reasonable positions on how to regulate competition in digital markets.

All our materials are available at YouTube channel, which you of course are very welcome to subscribe to.
