The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman is a chilling classic short story of one woman's descent into madness, centered around an apparent cure, which only serves to make it worse. And through it all, her only distraction is the yellow wallpaper in her room.
In the ramble, we'll talk about how initially, this was just seen as a horror story, but garnered more attention from the feminist movement. Also, as sometimes happens on the channel, the creepiest part of all is the fact that it's somewhat based in reality, specifically that of the author, Charlotte Perkins Gilman.
This may be my personal favorite short story of all time.
