I am trying the drift fishing technique with great difficulty in Gran Canaria.
I was hoping for two days of great fishing in one of Gran Canaria's best fishing spots, but just getting there was a real challenge. An unexpected rough sea made navigation very challenging. The next day, the spot wasn't as generous as usual, and I had to settle for just one catch. Despite this, I was able to try my hand at drifting, which I'll obviously need to perfect, but at least for the first time I brought a dolphin fish aboard. It's a good thing a liter of gas here costs less than a euro, because otherwise it would have been a bloodbath :) Jokes aside, this is fishing, and you can't always fill your net.
