SEC vs. Telegram - What's next for GRAM?
Set to launch back in Fall of 2019, Telegram's new TON blockchain and GRAM cryptocurrency have been held up in a six-month court battle, after the US Securities & Exchange Commission claimed that Telegram failed to properly register the tokens as a ~security~, rather than a commodity.
Half a year later, the case is set to wrap up within the next few weeks (unless a global pandemic takes us all out first). The crypto world has some strong opinions about just what this case means, but is all the fire and brimstone warranted, or just misdirected Corona-concern?
