Prof. Dr. Axel Michaels is the Acting Director of the Cluster of Excellence "Asia and Europe in a Global Context" / HCTS. The ceremony took place on April 28, 2014, in the Alte Aula of Heidelberg University. Minister Theresia Bauer, rector Prof. Bernhard Eitel and Prof. Matthias Kleiner (Leibniz Association) inaugurated the centre. The ceremonial speech was given by Prof. Avishai Margalit (Princeton).
