The new YouTube channel for Apryl is at / @aprylprobably and I'll also be posting stuff on the slashslash channel like always. I'll also still be using this channel for my random YouTube stuff, and probably supplementary Apryl stuff as well. Why am I doing this? I know it’s going to be hard to start again so this wasn't a decision I made lightly. I just don’t feel like “Delcan” is a name or brand that fits the musical direction I’m going in, and as I’ve begun to take my music more seriously, I really felt that I needed a clean slate. Combine that with the rebrand that I’d already come up with and everything sort of came together to make this be what I wanted to do. Don’t get me wrong, Delcan has been heaps of fun, but it just wasn't sitting well with me. Also, for my process, I think there’s a lot of value in releasing music under a name that’s entirely separate from my real name. I’m more thinking of Apryl as a project or band than as just being the music I put out. I’ll still keep “Delcan” for my main YouTube channel, and more general online presence, but it just won’t be where I release music for now.
All my existing music will remain released as is and I won’t be taking anything down, other than maybe some old SoundCloud stuff (most of which is properly released anyway).
Thank you so much for supporting my music over the years. To my friends of course but especially to the people that have just found me through the internet. Some of you found me back on Tetrachromacy and honestly I'm astonished you stuck around.
