PART 2 - STOL Practice
Taking the Bushcat to OZSTOL next week so getting some practice in. The Bushcat has STOL (Short Take Off and Landing) capabilities but is not a 'hard core' STOL aircraft but with some practice - it can easily take off and land inside 100m (300ft for those in other parts of the world).
The recent Redbull stunt in Dubai involved landing a Cub Crafters on the Burj Al Arab helipad which is 27m wide - Maybe next time we will set up a 27m marker and see if we could do that in a Bushcat?
Landing short requires practice and some skill. Given I am an ordinary pilot the more practice the more skill I seem to get - strange I know!
First time using multiple Go-Pros like this and it worked ok - until as usual the main GoPro with the audio crapped its pants towards the end - so apologies for the last few minutes and no goodbye/outro - but I think the scenic flight home was still epic at sunset.
These videos are not instructional - they are for entertainment. The purpose of my channel is to encourage people to take up flying, go flying or just practice and discuss flying :)
As a pilot its our job to make sure our skills are up to date and that we challenge ourselves to get better.
