Repair an old boat - the hippie DIY hydraulic repairs
To repair an old boat the DIY way means also to keep in mind that not everything is available everywhere. In this episode we care for boat repair work and replace leaking seals on our hydraulic steering cylinder. Sailing around the world and off the grid living, means to repair your boat on the most beautiful paradises on earth. That's true, even if it is not always like everything breaks down all the time, but maintenance keeps repair costs low. This outdoor or sailing adventure is also part of the game and we have to repair an old boat. Not really the regular way, but we are hippies and had to use what was available and DIY. The cylinder was in service just a few weeks before and it started leaking again after the first test sail. Instead of giving it back to the machine shop, we took care for it ourselves now.
