After our world-class Scientific Advisory Board met in November, we approved two exciting research projects to receive grants.
Two further projects were identified to be promising leading to a potential improvement in treatments for neuroblastoma.
Our goal in 2020 is to raise funds for these two projects. We wanted to share details of the first project, which is focused on the drug Venetoclax.
Venetoclax is a promising drug which is already in clinical trial for cancers but it is expected that it will be even more effective if combined with other drugs.
This research project led by Dr Jamie Fletcher at Children’s Cancer Institute, and is focused on finding other drugs which can be used in combination with Venetoclax to treat neuroblastoma – the goods news is this drug looks like it is also low in toxicity.
We need to research today to help children now and in the future. We understand the current climate makes donations very challenging but we wanted to share the web page we have set up with you and we will continue to work towards raising funds for research.
As the Children's Cancer Institute has said - cancer doesn’t stop, neither will we.
