Let Your Soul Play | A Prize Not a Forfeit
My poetry comes from a place deep inside my soul. It is shared to inspire others who are looking for a way to get in touch with their true self, higher self, seed of divinity.
I am not trained in writing and all my inspiration comes from my experiences and reading as part of my personal journey to remember all the hidden realms of the world that I have forgotten.

A Prize Not a Forfeit
I have come to realise most people see through closed eyes.
They blunder for place to place focused on their bargain buys.
Then home for a dose of TV to numb the mind some more.
When all else fails drink till they hit the floor.
It’s easier to live that way.
Solve every problem another day.
Actually worse still most won't acknowledge there is a problem.
They suck up the lies and just keep gobblin'
So now they see it as the truth.
It's that that is then fed on to their youth.
Fortunately some are now waking up.
They refuse to sip from the same tainted cup.
They stand up and take responsibility.
See we can't take and take with impunity.
They realise that less is more.
They don't choose to shop in a superstore.
Start growing food from their land.
Turn of the tele and use their hand.
They draw the creatures of their dreams.
They even mediate in teams.
This simple act has been proved to drastically drop,
Crime rates in cites but somehow this has been forgot.
Why do some many choose to live with eyes wide shut.
Prefer McDonald's and Pizza Hut.
Our health has suffered our minds been glued up tight.
We miss the beauty as day becomes night.
Still we career down this fateful route.
Even though eventually it will give US the boot.
We chase after money to buy more and more.
We work harder and harder to become more poor.
This is a screwed up way to live.
It's like trying to store water in a sieve.
What puzzles me most is how so many do this without query.
Accepting a life that is dull and dreary.
Spend years in jobs that totally they hate.
Miss their kid’s events through working late.
How the hell did we get sold such bullshit.
Life is meant to be a prize not a forfeit.
