SITKA Ecosystem Grant Profile: National Wild Turkey Federation
Once a widespread landscape in North America, approximately 99.9% of the oak savanna habitat that existed in the US prior to European settlement has now been lost. The National Wild Turkey Federation is working to protect and restore these imperiled ecosystems through controlled burning and replanting of native grasses and forbs, and we’re proud to help support them through our Ecosystem Grant program.
