Philippians 1:21–26
For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. But if I am to live on in the flesh, this will mean fruitful labor for me; and I do not know which to choose. But I am hard-pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better; yet to remain on in the flesh is more necessary for your sake. Convinced of this, I know that I will remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy in the faith, so that your proud confidence in me may abound in Christ Jesus through my coming to you again.
Christianity is the only religion in the world that has a no-lose outcome. Paul helps us to be aware of these extraordinary benefits. Live or die - we WIN. He showed that either in life or death, Jesus is ever-present and able to bring peace to our minds, comfort to our souls, and assurance to our hearts. When we place our lives under the direction and control of Jesus, we are flooded with confidence. As we study the passage today, may we grasp hold of a biblical perspective on life and death.
To Live for Christ is a Win

To Die in Christ is a Win
1. The accomplished work of Christ gives us hope.

2. Our salvation gives us hope.

3. Jesus’ declaration gives us hope.
