Philippians 4:8–9
Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
What you and I are right now is a result of what dominates our thoughts. Our thoughts shape us more than any single factor. The good news is that God empowers us to change by changing us from the inside out. Paul directs us to take responsible steps and take charge of our thoughts. Our thoughts direct how we view life and respond to the world around us. As Christians, we are challenged to think and do those things which honor God.
1. Choose to think as a believer in Jesus Christ.

2. Think with the right things in mind.

A. True = real, genuine, dependable

B. Honorable = worthy of respect, noble
C. Right = righteous, in perfect harmony with God’s eternal, unchanging standards
D. Pure = morally clean, undefiled, free from contamination

E. Lovely = great moral and spiritual beauty
F. Good Repute = admirable, praiseworthy, attractive
