My Final Fantasy VI speedrun with Essentia from Speed Demos Archive's 2014 summer charity marathon (which raised over $718,000 for Doctors Without Borders)! The run was co-op (half of battle party was assigned to controller 2, and we took turns controlling the field movement/menus), glitchless (no Joker Doom, Vanish-Doom, or NPC clipping glitches), and 100% (all 14 characters & all 26 Espers).
Really happy with how this run went - easily one of my favorite marathon runs I've been a part of! Execution and commentary/energy were all great despite the late hour (run started around midnight) - shoutouts to our awesome couch crew mistermv (right) and Brossentia (left), and Vulajin (offscreen) on the host mic. The 2-player mechanics worked out great too; and I'd love to do another co-op run with Essentia at a future marathon (either another category of FF6 or a different game).
