Siena is surrounded by countryside, which can be viewed from many streets in the city center. Furthermore throughout the city there are animals in stone, metal and in paintings preserved in museums. This strong connection with nature inspired the work of Nadia Frolova, visual artist and ceramicist, in her residency at the Siena Art Institute.

Siena è circondata dalla campagna, ben visibile anche da molte vie del centro, inoltre in tutta la città sono presenti animali in pietra, in metallo e nei dipinti conservati nei musei.
