“It's just been incredible to be here in this magical place with this beautiful garden. I've been so struck and inspired by how this incredible city, with centuries of culture and history was built with these walls: to keep it safe (to keep the enemy out) but in the process it cut nature off.
Now all these centuries later, organizations like the Siena Art Institute are understanding that it's really important to reintegrate Nature into urban lives. So what I've been doing is kind of responding to the foliage both here at the garden and around the city.”
