In this episode of Civil Visualizing with Sam, I take a SketchUp model of an ORD (Openroads Designer) design from the Scoping group of the Nevada Department of Transportation for a rest area 'Mobility Hub' project on SR 28 next to Lake Tahoe in Nevada and visualize it in Civil Engine alpha.
I also show how you can generate terrain in InfraWorks using Model Builder and import as a separate base model in Civil Engine. This alpha version has limited import/location tools but we hope to improve on those in future updates.
This took about 4 hours but included a lot of troubleshooting as we are still testing and optimizing workflows and are limited without brush and other tools that will be coming soon.
Civil Engine is coming to the public in Spring 2025
