The War Within expansion for World of Warcraft is the tenth expansion in the game, set to launch in 2024 as the first part of the Worldsoul Saga trilogy. This expansion takes players deep beneath the surface of Azeroth, introducing new zones like Khaz Algar, which is home to the Earthen, a new playable allied race made of living stone. The story focuses on the resurgence of the nerubian empire and the dark powers gathering beneath the surface, including Xal’atath, the Harbinger of the Void.

New Zones: Explore four new underground zones: Isle of Dorn, The Ringing Deeps, Hallowfall, and Azj-Kahet.
Delves: A new solo or group endgame activity where players explore treasure vaults, fight bosses, and solve puzzles.

Warbands: Account-wide progression that lets players share reputation, achievements, and more across their characters.
Raids and Dungeons: Eight new dungeons and a raid, including Nerub-ar Palace, which culminates in a battle against Queen Ansurek.
Additionally, Dragonriding continues from the Dragonflight expansion, and a new feature called Skyriding lets players soar through the underground landscapes.
