"Cyberpunk: Edgerunners" is a Japanese-American anime series set in the "Cyberpunk 2077" universe, produced by Studio Trigger in collaboration with CD Projekt Red. The story is set in Night City, a dystopian megalopolis where cybernetic implants and high-tech modifications are the norms.
The series follows David Martinez, a street kid trying to survive in a city obsessed with technology and body modification. After a tragic incident, David decides to become an edgerunner, a mercenary outlaw also known as a cyberpunk. Along the way, he joins a group of edgerunners led by a charismatic netrunner named Lucy.
The series explores themes of survival, identity, and the impact of technology on humanity. It delves into the personal struggles of its characters as they navigate the dangerous world of Night City, balancing their desires for freedom and self-expression against the harsh realities of their environment.
