The Time NGNG Almost Failed
I’m on week three of our special series memorializing the significant moments in NGNG’s 15-year history, and in this video… I’m spilling the beans.
Have you ever put your time and energy into something that ended up falling seriously short of your expectation in the end?
Well, that’s exactly what happened when I hosted my very first Online Summit back in 2014.
I put ALL of my effort (like out-on-a-limb amounts of effort) into the launch. I worked hard for 4-5 months. I had industry-leading guests. I had hundreds of thousands of eyes on my name and brand. My effort was so carefully wrapped up in my identity and the outcome would be proof of my learning and business experience. It was make or break (in my head anyway).
Without spoiling the ending too much, let’s just say, it didn’t go as planned. I nearly ran out of money, my confidence was shot, and I felt very alone with a lot of responsibility tugging at me. Wanna know what happened and how I redeemed myself?
