MMDA QC Operation
An anti-illegal parking and sidewalk clearing operation from the MMDA.
Videos are first released on / ytgadgetaddict and comments can be left there.
The first line of defense against residents and businesses extending over the sidewalk is the Barangay. But if the MMDA come along and find obstructions on the sidewalk or road, they might remove them on the spot.
If an illegally parked vehicle is attended by a driver, the ticket is written out to the drivers license. The cost of that ticket is P1000 and the driver must move the vehicle immediately.
If the illegally parked vehicle is unattended, the ticket is written out to the plate number and the cost is P2000.
Sometimes a person will arrive at the vehicle and say they're the driver, but they don't surrender their license and don't move the vehicle. At that point, there's no way to even know if they're really the driver. So the more expensive unattended ticket will be issued against the plate number.
If the car is in the road, you'll also have "obstruction" added to the ticket which is another P1000.
