Full review of the 2024 Range Rover Velar P400 SE Dynamic.
Meet the 2024 Range Rover Velar SE Dynamic, as tested at $81,033 ($70,600 starting), and finished in the new Zadar Grey paint ($1,500) with some slick 21 inch wheels ($2,600). Over a week in this Velar, I realized there’s nothing like it in the compact-luxury SUV segment.. at all. It looks gorgeous still, rides like a cloud, and has a smooth inline-6, though does any of this justify its high price?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Highs:
+The ride and the Inline-6 powertrain are worthy of a Range Rover name; they are truly sublime, comfortable, and ooze luxury.
+The design is sleeker than ever though may need more to convince of a true refresh.
Lows:
-JLR, please reconsider removing all the interior buttons. While snappy and high resolution, way too many crucial features are packed into the 11.4 inch display.
-Yes, the theme here is “reduced luxury,” but it’s simply too reduced inside, it feels empty, especially for $80k.
-The Velar is a comfort machine, not a sharp, handling SUV, even in this “Dynamic” trim.
7/10 - It’s surely a baby Range Rover in the ride and powertrain, (and the looks), though that comes at a high cost while missing out on more value features/options.
