The Kia Sportage is one of the brand’s volume sellers….but with a big facelift on the horizon for next year, you may want to wait a bit if these features are important to you: Wireless CarPlay/android auto, a less bold & more refined design language, improved powertrains. Highs:
Spacious and feature jam packed interior.
Heated and ventilated seats are a welcome plus in this class
Curved screen looks upscale as does the interior design.
Lows:
Wired CarPlay/android auto in 2024
Very minimal off-road features for an X-Pro name. Really just a wheel/tire package.
Underwhelming engine performance (Please opt for the turbocharged Hybrid or PHEV Sportage)
Real world MPG was lower than expected.
My advice? Opt for the quicker, more efficient Sportage Hybrid or PHEV if interested in one now. Otherwise, if you can, wait out a bit longer for the facelift.
