Your calculator may not be giving the result you expect. Not even close. Be sure you understand its order of operations. Some can even be changed. For example, the Microsoft Windows calculator uses one order in simple mode but changes completely when switched to scientific mode.
Many student or scientific calculators can be quite confusing. The same brand and apparent model can give two or three completely different answers for the same simple calculation, depending on whether the calculator was made for sale in North America or Europe, or on the exact sub-model. This is especially true of the otherwise excellent Casio student and technical models.
YouTube does not allow including references to videos on other channels in vertical-format Shorts, but I would suggest doing a Google search for "EEVblog 1479" before you conclude that this is just about the difference between linear calculation order and multiplication-before-addition. You really do need to read and remember the fine print in calculator manuals.
