MIJSC 5th Foundation Day 2022
The Mizuho India Japan Study Centre (MIJSC)—a Centre of Excellence at IIMB, celebrated its 5th Foundation Day at IIM Bangalore on 16 September 2022. The day began with a warm welcome and overview by the Chairperson, followed by a welcome address from IIMB Director Prof. Rishikesha T Krishnan. The Indian Ambassador shared valuable insights on the evolving India-Japan partnership, while the Consul General of Japan in Bengaluru emphasized the critical role of academic-industrial linkages in driving innovation between the two nations.
The program continued with a video presentation on MIJSC’s achievements, followed by discussions on strengthening academic and research ties between India and Japan, featuring speakers from IIT Hyderabad and Jawaharlal Nehru University. The occasion also marked the release of a special publication by the Consul General and the IIMB Director. Mizuho President delivered an inspiring message, and evening wrapped up with a vote of thanks from the COO.
