Understanding the different types of Airspeeds | IAS | CAS | TAS | GS | M
Hi.
In this video we look at airspeeds. We see a general idea of how an airspeed indicator works. The pressure difference between static and pitot pressures, gives us Indicated Airspeed. From the IAS, we look at how Calibrated Airspeed, True Airspeed and Ground Speed are obtained. If we increase the speed further, Mach number is also used, which is also included in the video.
