What is EMERGENCY DESCENT? | When and How is it performed?
Hey! In this video we look at what is meant by emergency descent. Aircraft have to fly at high altitudes now a days, but in case of certain emergencies, the aircraft should be able to come to a lower altitude as rapidly as possible. This is done by following the procedure for Emergency Descent.
The actual procedure would be mentioned in the manufacturer documents. In this video we look at a general procedure, as per ICAO guidelines. This procedure is similar for all aircraft.
We look at the reasons why it is performed and why actions in the procedure are critical.
