Another competition entry. This time I was inspired by Irelin's amazing competition that won the first prize in BIFSC 2023 and thought I could give this competition a try too! Unfortunately, I didn't manage to win anything but it was still fun writing this rescore. :)
Stylistically, the central motif of the piece is inspired by Native American music. The solo flute, accompanied by ethnic drums, hopes to drive the story presented in this short film. The rich colour from the Native American instruments does a great job highlighting the film's landscape, adding a layer of enriched warmness and epicness.
