Elena Golosiy is a director from Kyiv. She has been living in Warsaw for 9 years. She left not because of the war, but for personal reasons. After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, she helped Ukrainian refugees in Poland — organizing their daily life, medical care, psychological support. One day, she realized that she wanted to capture the moment as a director. This is how the documentary film “While the War Goes On” and the play “Borderline” appeared. About the day that began on February 24, 2022, and is still going on. And about how to remain human in inhuman circumstances. Elena Golosiy is in the “Eyewitnesses” project.
