Applying Anti Hot Spot Tape to Polytunnel
Anti Hot Spot Tape is highly recommended on any polytunnel as it helps to prolong the life of the polythene cover by preventing cover degradation from friction and the built up heat in the steel framework.
This self-adhesive foam tape is applied to the polytunnel framework wherever the cover comes into contact. The tape should be placed on the hoops prior to fitting the polytunnel cover - for the best results, the tape and the cover should be fitted on the same day when it is not raining.
Anti Hot Spot Tape has a smooth outside surface, allowing the cover to be pulled over the framework without catching or tearing.
