Foundations for Polytunnels - Anchor Plates | Base Plates
Fitting the polytunnel foundations is an important part of any polytunnel construction. It is important that the framework is well anchored into or onto the ground.
Anchor Plates - originally designed and developed by our technical designer - have been successfully used for many years and have proven to be a much simpler method of securing polytunnels into the ground than the use of concrete. The plates clamp to the base of each foundation tube in the ground and, when the soil is compacted back over the plates, the polytunnel framework is prevented from lifting or sinking.
Base Plates are used to replace foundation tubes when fixing a polytunnel to a hard standing base, such as concrete. Cage bolts are supplied for fixing and the steel hoops simply slot into position.
