If you clicked on this review, you already know what we're talking about: the new Mercedes C-Class All-Terrain, a premium family car that brings with it—although four centimeters higher off the ground—all the technology and driving pleasure of its station wagon sibling.
It has a list price starting at just under €60,000, and the only engine available is the 200-hp 2.0-liter mild-hybrid turbodiesel with all-wheel drive and a 9-speed automatic transmission. The C-Class All-Terrain's direct rivals are mainly the Audi A4 Allroad and the Volvo V60 Cross Country, as they both have similar dimensions, prices, and features to the Mercedes and are all-wheel drive. For those on a slightly lower budget, other good alternatives include the Volkswagen Passat Alltrack and the Skoda Octavia Scout, both of which also have all-wheel drive, or, why not, even the Subaru Outback.
