Summary: You can see the first 75 terms in the series expansion for the boundary of the Mandelbrot set. In the last part of the animation the curve morphs to the expansion that includes 4096 terms.
Did you expect that the boundary of the Mandelbrot set is connected? Actually it is and it can be computed to arbitrary precision. Thanks to Paul Abbott, pointing this out to me.
