WHAT IS SUPERPOSITION TORONTO:
Superposition Toronto is a youth-led organization with the mission of bridging the gender gap in STEM by creating educational opportunities and supportive communities. Our approach is to actively bring girls into STEM by hosting panel discussions, hackathons, and workshops on a variety of different topics (i.e. AI, ML, blockchain, UX design, competitive programming) and in doing so, create a safe space where everyone feels that they truly belong. Since being founded in July 2020, we've reached 10,000+ individuals in 5 provinces, 22 countries, and 6 continents through our content, social media, workshops, and other initiatives.

PRESENTER BIO:
Annika Rollock is a PhD student in Bioastronautics at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Originally from New Jersey, Annika completed her BS in aeronautical and astronautical engineering from MIT in 2018, where she also rowed competitively at the Division I level and minored in creative writing. Her PhD research is on the design of next generation deep space habitats, through which she works with NASA on the HOME (Habitats Optimized for Missions of Exploration) project. She also serves as the chair of the AIAA Women of Aeronautics and Astronautics (WoAA), the international initiative to support and empower marginalized genders in the aerospace fields. In her free time, she loves to run, bike, read, and write.
Superposition Toronto's free virtual workshops, panels, and events are open internationally to students of all ages and gender identities.
