How to ace web development interviews
In this video I'm going to describe, in detail, how to ace web development interviews.
This is an area where I have considerable expertise. I have, over the years, been on both sides of the interview table. When I ran a web development agency, I had an employee whose job was to pretend to be me. Yes, really! The way it worked is she would apply to web development jobs under the pretence that it was me. I would then go from interview to interview, doing the web development interview as a normal candidate. At the very end of the interview, I would reveal that I'd be able to offer far more value if I was not hired as an employee, but as a freelancer. This was my primary strategy for getting web development clients from 2007 to 1012. Over the years, I think I have attended over 200 web development interviews. I was never looking for the job (I just wanted clients) but I'd say I was successful in the vast majority of my web development interviews.
In some respects, I was a serial web development interviewee. I dare say, I've probably participated in more web development interviews than anyone. Most importantly, I have done this and I have been successful. As a matter of fact, for a while, the only time I felt comfortable when when I was at a web development interview. That's because it's a controlled environment. To me, web development interviews are easy and fun. Now, I'm giving this information to you - all for free.
