Why Does Paris have so few Skyscrapers?
If you ever wondered why Paris doesn't have many skyscrapers then it is a result of this building Tour Maine-Montparnasse (Maine-Montparnasse Tower), also commonly named Tour Montparnasse.
This building was completed in 1973 and was very unpopular with the residents of Paris, the residents had issues with The tower's simple architecture, large proportions, and monolithic appearance and being out of place in Paris's landscape
Two years after the tower's construction any buildings over seven stories high in the center of Paris were banned.
