Dr. Mara Tietzen: Sports Medicine Physician

Dr. Mara Tietzen is Pediatrician and Sports Medicine Physician with a specific passion is for working with child and adolescent athletes.  Her sports medicine experience has stretched across all age groups, including working with competitive college and professional athletes.  She currently works at BC Children’s Hospital in the Department of Orthopedics, and also runs community clinics in North Vancouver and Squamish.  She is a Clinical Instructor with UBC – Department of Pediatrics.

Within sports medicine some specific notable experiences have included providing medical coverage for high school football, college hockey, professional ballet (Boston Ballet), and for mass participation events such as the Boston Marathon.

Andrea Neil: BHK, UEFA A - LicensedCoach

Former Canadian Women's National Soccer Team player, captain and coach, attending 5 FIFA World Cups over her twenty years within the program. The first woman inducted into Canada's Sports Hall of Fame for soccer, receiving the Canadian Order of Sport. She transitioned into coaching and now works as a leadership consultant and speaker, focusing on developing leadership and team capabilities and fostering psychological safety in organizations. Andrea recently delivered a TEDx talk on ethical leadership in sports, leveraging her extensive experience to guide parents and organizations in sports-related matters.

Lisa White, Mkin, MSc-Family life, Chartered Professional Coach, CONCACAF A license.

She is a Former university soccer player and grew up as a multi sport athlete. As a university coach for 20 years serving in both Canada and US. Lisa has held roles as a head coach, assistant coach and consultant coach. Her coaching career also included time as an intern with the Vancouver Whitecaps (MLS) team and as an Apprentice Coach with the first team staff.

Currently Lisa works in the high school sport realm in athletic performance, leadership & character development. Her focus is helping, helping people get where they are going. Or as she would describe “Coaching coaches”
