SOLIDWORKS 2021 New Features & Enhancements: SOLIDWORKS Simulation
There have been a lot of enhancements and new features in @solidworks 2021. In this video, we check the performance of this corner bracket using SOLIDWORKS Simulation 2021. We've already set up the loads and boundary conditions for this study. We've gone ahead and made the fastener meshes draft-quality, which will speed up the calculations. When running the study and receiving our results, one of the cool things about SOLIDWORKS Simulation 2021 is that we get these results faster than before, because the solver for contacts actually takes advantage of multi-core hardware technology as does the meshing tool itself!

Other enhancements include: When using body or contact type interactions, SOLIDWORKS Simulation now has the ability to specify a gap and stabilization range, making the software able to handle situations like the one where I have gaps between the washer and the nuts and bolts, yet I don't have to worry about doing extra work to account for this, the software handles this by itself.
