Being in Hawaii, we get to witness what we call, "Lahaina Noon," where the sun is directly overhead, leading to smooth objects without a shadow. This happens twice a year, for us: once before and once after the summer solstice. South Point Hawaii has the earliest and latest one during the year, being the southern most part of our state. It's a fun thing to remind us of our planet zooming around the sun!
