NASA WING | Testing Magnetism in Microgravity Drop Tower Experiment
This drop tower experiment was a part of What If No Gravity? (WING). WING is a NASA educational program for teams of students to design and build an experiment to be tested in a NASA microgravity drop tower.
Observe how the iron filings behave as they are dropped. Without reverse polarity, the iron filings float moderately, but they mostly stick to the base. With reverse polarity, the iron filings move away from the base.
