Here, the illuminated Iconic Glow kidney grille adds more than just an elegant accent. The redesigned trim and air intakes complete the harmonious front view.
In addition to the classic Alpina colors Metallic Blue and Green, the BMW Alpina B8 Gran Coupé is now also available in Portimao Blue, Sanremo Green, Skyscraper Grey, and Frozen Pure. For the first time, 21-inch wheels are available for the Gran Coupé, perfectly complementing the sporty coupé. With the Alpina Classic 21-inch forged wheels in a delicate 20-spoke design, the B8 now also receives this exclusive Alpina hallmark. The Alpina rear apron with its sporty black diffuser insert perfectly complements the body's lines. The subtle Alpina rear spoiler lip skillfully extends the coupé's contours.
The powerful V8 sound of the Alpina B8, generated by the in-house sport exhaust system, is also a delight. Depending on the driving mode and accelerator pedal position, this sound can be either refined and understated or bass-heavy and sporty. The two prominent twin tailpipes let following drivers know what a "bella macchina" they've just overtaken.
The 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine can deliver up to 621 hp and a maximum torque of 800 Nm. This allows the Gran Coupé to sprint from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.4 seconds. Its top speed is 200 mph. Equally important are the brakes. The B8 can be brought to a halt with either a Brembo or an Alpina braking system. The Alpina B8 offers precise handling, thanks in no small part to its integral active steering with a rear differential lock. Its impressive longitudinal and lateral dynamics make the B8 Sport Coupé an incredible all-rounder. The adaptive dampers allow for a wide range of settings between the various driving modes, from COMFORT+ to SPORT+.
The interior design skillfully reflects the elegance and sportiness of the exterior. Fine leather is paired with meticulous craftsmanship that demonstrates a keen attention to detail. The leather can be chosen between Merino and Lavalina. The touchscreen display, in typical Alpina design, now measures 12.3 inches and is characterized by its largely intuitive operation.
Prices for the Alpina B8 Gran Coupé start at €166,600. For those who don't mind that amount, this Alpina is clearly distinct from its BMW sibling in every respect.
