Chile’s troubled political history has made it hard for film production to persevere through the decades. After the student protests, that ended with hundreds of students being injured and the nationwide protests in 2019, that counted thousands of injured Chileans, the film industry is weakened. In this panel, the creme de la creme of Chilean cinema (Roberto Doveris, Alexandra Hyland, Felipe Huenchuñir, Karin Cuyul and Christopher Murray) discuss film production in Chile and the ups and downs that come with it.
