This improvisation was played by Gerre Hancock at St. Thomas Church on Fifth Avenue in 2002. It is based on the Karg-Elert's composition for Psalm 150 or "Praise the Lord with Drums and Cymbals" and Gerre leads naturally into the Doxology after his playing. I learned Gerre's improvisation from the recording, which can be found on youtube. It is a wonderful prelude before the Doxology to inspire singing and cheerful offerings to God. I am playing on the Hook and Hastings Organ Opus 1573 (1893) of Christ Church in Rochester, NY. May 29, 2018.
