1. If you don’t have a data management strategy there isn’t really anything to integrate and deploy to. So that foundation has to be laid first which outlines not just how data is graduating, but also how it maps to business functions. Once that is in place you can start treating your body of logic as a strategic asset.
2. When you’re making changes in data projects there are a lot of second, third, forth, and fifth level downstream impacts. So it can be very helpful if you have either a data catalog or at least a conversation of what those downstream impacts are, then some kind of testing ready to validate the outcome.
