Ultralight Bank Fishing In WINDY CONDITIONS!
I had about an hour and a half after work to do some bank fishing so I grabbed an ultralight rod and hit a local pond. Sadly the wind was blowing over 20 mph with gusts even higher. Typically, it is not very much fun to fish with ultralight gear in the wind, but I adapted to it and made some fish eat.
Some of my personal favorite ultralight fishing rigs for windy conditions are spinners, upsized jigs, and drop shots. In this case, I used the Bronco Blade jig spinner with a 1/8oz Workhorse Jig and Donkey Tail Jr. This allowed me to cast farther and cover more water while still attracting bites from multispecies.
