I recently uploaded a video of a Hairy Woodpecker tending to a nest out in the forest close to my place. Today, the father has brought the recent male offspring to feed. The young woodpecker is still learning how to navigate and interact with the environment. At the end of this video, the father had gone back into the forest and left the young one in the feeding hand. The young Hairy Woodpecker sat for a moment and rested after being stuffed to the point where he could eat no more. Then, he flew to a nearby tree and climbed up high to continue before moving on elsewhere. I have a video uploaded in 2019 of this same Woodpecker feeding last year's offspring.
